Baseplate Pads
The primairy function of the BPP is the elastic support of the rail on rigid surfaces such as concrete slabs, steel bridge girders and others. This includes the attenuation of impact loads as well as the reduction of ground-borne noise e.g. metro tunnels in densely populated areas.
The BPP's reduce attrition and provides electrical insulation. The materials have passed tests with requirements formulated in EN 13481-5:2002 for 'rail fastening systems for slab track' and DIN 45673-1:2000-05 for 'elastic products in rail track'.
Test certificates and approvals are available.
