TRACKELAST resilient FST products create a substantially lower resonant frequency of the track, consequently the level of vibration transmitted in to the supporting structure is reduced. The simplest way of reducing this resonant frequency is to place (resilient) soft material between the slab and the supporting structure.
The softer the material (the greater the track deflection), the greater the reduction in vibration transmission (Insertion Loss). A TRACKELAST resilient productenables the creation of an effective measure against bibration transmission at low frequencies of 6 Hz and beyond.
The materials have passed tests with requirements formulated in DIN 45673-1:2000-05 for 'elastic products in railway track'.
