edilon)(sedra TRACKELAST
The irregularities of the running surfaces of rail and wheel generate a wide spectrum of vibration in the track. The most energetic frequencies are those between 30 and 150 Hz, and it is these low frequencies which can travel significant distances, causing low frequency vibration and noise in nearby buildings. This low frequency is heard as a rumbling noise each time a train passes and can be very disturbing in hospitals, concert halls, convention centres and other sensitive buildings.
Trackelast resilient USP's create a lower resonant frequency of the track, consequently the level of vibration transmitted in to the supporting ballast is reduced. Reducing the level of vibration transmitted between the ballast components, the contamination of the ballast bed by attrition of the ballast is much reduced, thereby extending the life cycle of the ballast bed for cleaning an re-tamping.
The materials have passed tests with requirements formulated in EN 13481-5:2002 for 'rail fastening systems for slab track' and DIN 45673-1:2000-05 for 'elastic products in rail track'.
Test certificates and approvals are available upon request.
