Research changes rails

A rail, sleepers and clips, all things considered, little has changed in terms of rail tracks during the past century or more. However, we believe that a modern train, underground or tram and metro system should look very different today. In order to help achieve this, we invest some twenty percent of our energy in research and development. We search for new systems and materials, follow extensive material - testing programs and evaluate systems, both with various mathematical modelling techniques as well as mechanically, using life-size models.

Our engineers collaborate closely with renowned research institutes, such as the Technical Universities in Delft, Munich, Budapest, Berlin, Barcelona, Milan and Cambridge. Our research efforts have led to numerous international patents and are ISO 9001 : 2000 certified, naturally
