What does an edilon)(sedra Corkelast® ERS (Embedded Rail System) rail replacement on a large and heavy duty train bridge look like nowadays? How can a smooth workflow be accomplished on a challenging project with a constricted working environment, stringent waste management practices, and a limited working schedule? What state-of-the-art solutions are used to limit vibrations and future maintenance costs?
The answers to these questions can be found in our short video “Moerdijk bridge rail replacement with edilon)(sedra Corkelast® ERS”. The video offers interesting technical insights into how to upgrade a wooden sleeper track on a steel bridge with a specially designed steel bridge deck construction and Corkelast® ERS. It also shows how to extend the lifetime of the bridge when doing a smart rail replacement method.
We hope this video offers you valuable new insights and look forward to your feedback!
About the Moerdijk bridge rail replacement project
In the summer of 2017, edilon)(sedra participated in an exceptional logistical challenge which involved replacing 2200 meters of rail track on the Moerdijk bridge in the Netherlands. The rail replacement was part of a larger bridge renovation which took place in a short time period of only two and half weeks.
