edilon)(sedra welcomes the Thai minister of Science & Technology at TRAS-2

edilon)(sedra and its Bangkok support office have successfully participated in TRAS-2, the Thailand Rail Academic Symposium, that took place from the 26th till the 28th of August 2015, in Phitsanulok, Thailand.

At the event, the Thai Minister of Science & Technology Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, conducted the opening ceremony. It was also a great honor, to host the Minister at our stand, where he showed special interest in our ERS (Embedded Rail System), to be used increasing the safety at the SRT level crossings and to be used in tunnels, stations and at (steel or concrete) bridges.

edilon)(sedra’s Dr. Ir. Amy de Man (Ph.D. TU Delft), VIP and one of the event’s Key Note Speakers, gave a lively presentation at TRAS 2, about ERS and the comprehensive applications of this ballast-less track system.

On the 24th of August, our Dr. Ir. Amy de Man was invited by the Civil Engineering Department of the Chiang Mai University, to lecture their students in a course on Railway Engineering. The topic of the lecture was “Track Superstructures”. On the 25th of August, he was invited to lecture the same course at the Chulalongkorn University, also attended by special guest Dr. Krit Anurakamonkul, Act. Chief Operation Officer (COO) of the Thai S.R.T. Electrified Train Co. Ltd.
