Product Engineer – Embedded Block Systems (EBS) for Track Infrastructure (m/f/d), fulltime
We are looking for a Product Engineer for Embedded Block Systems (EBS) to take ownership of one of our key track infrastructure solutions for metro, light rail, and mainline railway applications. In this role, you will act as the central interface between R&D, Engineering, Sales, Production partners, and external concrete manufacturers, ensuring the continuous development, technical integrity, and successful market implementation of our EBS solutions.
This position combines technical depth, hands-on support, and strategic product management in an international railway environment.
The focus includes providing technical support for the manufacturing of prefabricated EBS concrete blocks, including quality control and monitoring.
You will work closely with engineers and precast concrete manufacturers to ensure that our EBS elements meet the required standards and specifications.
Your work encompasses selecting the right concrete mix designs, monitoring production processes and quality control tests, and advising on the application of EBS blocks in various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support at concrete precasters and concrete sleeper producers during:
> Ramp-up phases for EBS production
> First article production and series start - Support Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QI/QA/QC) and Factory Acceptance Test processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the product production
- Align material procurement activities with manufacturing partners, Purchasing, and Logistics
- Support risk assessment related to design, production, supply chain, and project timelines
- Implementation of quality standards and inspection criteria for the production process
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical project management, ideally within:
> Railway infrastructure
> Track systems
> Concrete or elastomer-based products - Experience and knowledge in the field of concrete technology and the production of precast concrete elements
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chains, and external production partners
- Experience working with external manufacturers and production partners
