Observe the installation of our DFS rail fastening system on several viaducts, standing over 35 metres above the ground. A special technical challenge that really demonstrates the rail engineering competence of edilon)(sedra!
Lead engineers from SENER selected the edilon)(sedra DFS-FF ASB system for one of the largest railway projects in Mexico: the new commuter railway track between Toluca and Mexico City. A track designed for speeds of up to 160 km/hr and axle loads of 22.5T. The system solution includes excellent elasticity and unique durable characteristics, fully compliant with EN Cat C.
edilon)(sedra’s competence here is to support the integration of the rail fastenings for different civil engineering structures, which resulted in a cooperation that developed into a strong project partnership.
The Toluca project is a major development in the greater Mexico City area, aiming to reduce traffic congestion, CO2 emissions, and improve safety and mobility.
We are proud to support this mega project with our rail fastening solutions. Would you like the edilon)(sedra engineers to support your challenge? Don’t hesitate to contact us for a free consultation!

In order to support our customers and partners with the best possible track technology, edilon)(sedra established Competence Centres for their ballast-free track systems. From these centres, projects are coordinated from the first design to implementation by seasoned engineers with years of experience who know how to deal with track challenges.
Take, for example, our DFS Competence Centre, where our worldwide Direct Fastening System projects are supported from. Recently, the Centre was involved in an appealing railway project in Argentina.
For the track refurbishment project at Retiro Station in Buenos Aires, our DFS engineers worked closely with their engineering and construction partners at PANEDILE. Together, they developed the track design, supervised the alignment and installation to ensure the high requirements of track quality were realised according to the design and planning.
2.8 km of edilon)(sedra DFS track were implemented during a short possession time, securing train operation for many years to come.
