Sustainability Specialist, 32-40 h/week
What will you do?
With your drive and expertise, you will shape a sustainable future as our Sustainability Specialist. You will have a key position in everything related to the environment and sustainability.
With your up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation and sustainability policies you will initiate and coordinate projects that truly make a change. You know how to put policies on the map and you can easily collaborate with internal departments and external partners. Your ability to persuade and align others will be key to your success.
You have a keen eye for detail and you can flawlessly produce documents, analyses and reports, including LCAs, VSMEs and EPDs, and ensure that they are kept up-to-date. You’ll also ensure that environmental permits are up-to-date and contribute to ISO 14001 processes.
You’ll play an active role in activities led by the HSEQ team. You will independently manage projects and conduct internal audits, identify trends and translate them into specific policy adjustments. Additionally, you will also develop and deliver training sessions to raise awareness and engagement around sustainability and environmental topics among colleagues. You will ensure that this vital theme becomes an integral part of our company culture.

Who are we looking for?
You have:
- a bachelor’s level of working and thinking, preferably in the field of sustainability or environmental science;
- several years of relevant experience in a similar role;
- proven knowledge of and experience with European environmental and sustainability legislation; outside EU knowledge of these topics is a plus.
- knowledge of and experience with ISO 14001, EPD software, and sustainability reporting (such as CSRD or VSME);
- experience with project-based work and conducting internal audits; relevant training is a plus;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Dutch and/or German is a plus;
- a proactive attitude, perseverance and good judgement;
- strong skills in MS Office;
- availability of 32-40 hours per week.
